this may be insensitive.
I don’t understand why women stay in abusive relationships.
What goes through their minds when they’re beaten down by the person that’s supposed to protect them?
Does love still exist after the first blow to the face? Can self respect be so weightless that it can be handed over so quickly?

some exciting news!
It was announced today that I’m ready to scrub in for surgery with a surgeon sometime in April …or even sooner, February! Gotta brush up my A-game and start remembering pre-op & post-op care and what to do if the surgery goes haywire. so many protocols! it will take place at Aspen Surgical Center in Walnut Creek! Wish I can bring a team of friends to cheer me on! SO NERVOUS!
